Volunteer Coaching
The LBL is dependent on volunteer coaches to run our programs. We have many amazing coaches already in our program and we are grateful!
Coaching Details
If you are interested in volunteering we would love to have you train our youth baseball players! We do require you to go through a few training courses to ensure that our families and our players are getting the best possible experience and feel confident that their children will be safe with the coaches on staff.
Coaches that volunteer are required to complete the following:
- Register on LBL website
- To begin the process first register on the LBL website.
- Register for the program desired. We have Competitive registration, Recreational registration and Fall registration.

- Attend Recreational Baseball Coaches Meeting:
- The coaches meeting will cover rules, how to schedule practices, and many nuts and bolts of the program that are important.
- Tentative dates: April 23, 24th and 25th, 2024 depending on your age group.
- Background Check:
- The LBL will provide 1-2 free background checks for head coaches.
- Coaches will be given a link with an access code(at coaches meeting). Any flags will be reviewed by the LBL staff to determine coaches eligibility.
- Coach Background Check- Click on the bottom right "Coaches and Volunteers" button to begin.
- Concussion Training:
- Coaches on staff are required to complete the free concussion training on the NFHS website.
- E-mail the certificate to [email protected] or drop of a copy at the LBL office(100 10th Ave Longmont)
- NFHS website.
- Positive Coaching Alliance Training(PCA):
- When:TBD
- Where: Longmont Baseball League: 100 10th Ave Longmont, CO
- What: The presentation is titled Culture, Practices and Games
- PCA is a great tool for coaches to help establish player relationships and give the coach and players tools to cope with the failures of baseball.
